The winner must attend school for four years after winning the scholarship to be eligible to receive all four one thousand dollar checks. (For example, if the winner is a junior in college and finishes their education when they're a senior and does not continue on past that education, they will only receive two one thousand dollar checks.)
  • The winner of the scholarship may take one voluntary break, not to extend more than one year. (Any other serious reasons for any break in school time may be presented in front of the committee.)
  • The child or grandchild to be a candidate must be already enrolled into a college or beyond, such as Law School, Medical School, their masters or their doctorate.
  • The candidate must maintain at least a "C" average and every year their transcript must be sent into the scholarship committee, before another check will be released. (There will be a one year grace period to correct any grade complications.)
  • The member must be in good standing with the Bronx Acorn Club.
  • The member must be paid up in full to the scholarship fund, one year prior to submitting a candidate to win.
  • The member must submit the scholarship application before the close of the September Bronx Acorn Club Meeting.
  • This scholarship will be given out at the October meeting.
